The Lone Hunter

A lone hunter moving through the woods, almost gliding he is so quiet, taking each step with caution trying not to spook any birds that would give him away and scare off his meal. Too long has he lived off of birds and now hungers for more than the crows above him. Most birds around these woods are too small to make even half a decent meal and any more than one will make any man loathe the sight of feathers. Even thinking about another night of plucking feathers sends a slight shiver down his spine. No. It won't happen again. Not when the elk is this close. This elk is massive on any scale, the largest Pierce had ever seen before.

The Lone Hunter part 2With his torch in one hand and the elk head over the opposite shoulder, Pierce headed back to camp for the last time tonight. He could still hear the wolves howling at the night behind him. Pierce had always made an effort, as a rule, to keep calm and to not panic, but in this case he decided that it was time to let a bit of panic to overcome him. Pierce quickened his pace, but he knew no matter how fast he went that if the wolves caught his trail before he made it back to shelter he wouldn’t have a chance.

Having Trouble

I am having trouble starting part 3 to The Lone Hunter. I had a few people tell me what they thought of part 1 but nobody has really said anything about part 2 so I don't know if I did anything interesting or not.

I really would like some feedback on part 2 from someone but so far not much has happened. I just want to know if it's even worth it to keep writing. Because if nobody will read it and say what they think then there really is no point in me to keep at it.
